Zindegi Na Milegi Dobara was released 9 years ago, on 15th July of 2011. It was one of the best road trip movies ever made in India. And the movie was a massive hit.
Those who watched it, loved it because people relate themselves with the characters. Even after 9 years, people love watching it. No matter how many times you've watched it, everytime you watch this one it seems new and fresh.
There's a lot to learn from this movie. Throughout the whole running minute it teaches us lessons.
The title itself speaks the topic of the movie and gives us a lesson that all you have got is One Life. So do whatever pleases you, live every moment of your life. Without stressing about the future which is way far from today, you need to live in the present and have control on your today. You have to be Alive in every moment of your life, "Har ek lamhe se tum milo khole apni baahein".
From the character Arjun (played by
Hrithik Roshan), who is workaholic and have no time to enjoy the present, busy in making money and securing his future, we get to learn that works and loads will be there in our life but we have to get some time for us. Making money and securing future is important but Living and enjoying the moment is more important because what if your life comes to an end before even reaching the so called 'Future'. So, Present is the most important thing in life.
From the character Imran (played by
Farhan Akhtar) we get to learn that it's important to be serious in life instead of just fooling around with someone. You never know how your actions may hurt people eventually. Doing fun is also important but you shouldn't hurt someone and shouldn't be careless about everything. You need to care about your friends, about your love. That makes your life more peaceful.
The movie teaches that dark days will come side by side with bright and soulful days but you need to know that's also a part of being alive, "Dilon mein tum apni betaabiyan leke chal rahe ho, to zinda ho tum!". You need to know that no matter how dark today is, it will fade away and you'll be fine because life is beautiful and balanced. You shouldn't give up, every moment is important. Some days you'll feel low, your eyes will be full of tears but you need to remember that it's just that part which is bad not the Life, "Jo apni aankhon mein hayraniyan leke chal rahe ho, toh zinda ho tum!"
This movie also celebrates friendship. The character Kabir(played by
Abhay Deol) shows us what a perfect friend is, he himself is not perfect, has problems in his life too but he is the one who keeps this trio alive and make them stick together. The trio (actually
the three musketeers) Arjun, Kabir, Imran shows us that friends are an important part of your life. They make our hard times easy and our overall life beautiful. No matter how hard the time is, if you have the good company with you then you can overcome any situation with having a smile on your face or by laughing with your gang.
It also teaches that you need to overcome your fears. Those moments too are important when you can hear your own heartbeats. Without challenges, life is boring. The trio faces their respective fears, Atfirst they hesitate but when it's done, the pleasure they got is worth everything.
The whole album of this movie is soulful. The lyrics add up the gourgeousness to the movie and pleases your ear and heart.
This is the finest work of the Director
Zoya Akhtar. Through this movie she inspired lots of people and won many hearts. The lessons and gorgeousness of life portrayed through the movie gives a sense of satisfaction. For example, after scuba diving when Arjun finally overcame his fear, the calmness of the whole scene beautifully showed the condition of his heart and the peace he achieved.
Overall, this movie teaches us how to be alive in every moment!
Lots of reason make this movie an Evergreen One!
