Review of Trance
Watch this one for Fahadh's outstanding performance !
This movie gives us a message that nowadays Religion is the real trance.
Trance shows us the story of a man, Vijay Prasad (played by Fahadh Faasil), a failed motivational speaker, gets hired by businessmen Solomon Davis and Issac Thomas to pose as Christian Pastor Joshua and they make him the face of their business of religion. Joshua becomes so popular among the masses and their business get higher and higher. As business gets at its peak the hurdles start appearing in their way. Joshua starts overpowering the owners of the enterprise and gets himself in troubles. And how finally he makes the way for him to get out of that mess?
The first half shows how Viju gets transformed into Joshua and the rising of Joshua. The second half is about the consequences and there's a slight touch of psychological thriller in the second half of the movie.
Positive points-
1. The whole technical department deserves a great applause. The way the scenes have been edited, the background musics and the cinematography, they give you the feel of a Trance and makes this movie more stylish and more attractive.
2. Fahadh Faasil's performance was unbelievably AWESOME !
Viju has a terrible past and is struggling from mental illnes. He is a good person at heart which we come know as its been shown that his brother who is mentally unstabled, was never a burden for him, he always cared for him.
Fahadh Faasil portays the character as if it was written just for him. You just can't take your eyes off him. He is just too good.
3. They tried to give the message by wrapping it with a stylish cover and thats appreciative.
Negative points-
1. The story is too long and the screenplay lags sometimes.
2. The chemistry between Joshua and Esther isnt good at all. There's no spark in the writing of their connection and bonding.
Rating- 3/5
You should watch this and you'll be entertained for sure !
