After claiming that the 2011 World Cup was fixed,the former sports minister now says it was only his suspicion.

Few days ago,the Former Sports Minister of Srilanka,made an allegation that the 2011 world cup was fixed.By responding to that allegation,Srilankan legendary players Mahela Jayawardena and Kumar Sangakkara demands for a proof.


Now,Srilanka government ordered an enquiry and special police investigation unit recorded former Sports Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage's statement on Wednesday."I gave the police a copy of the complain I  lodged with the ICC on 30th October 2011,regarding the said allegation as then Sports Minister," he said.

Sangakkara,who was the Captain of Srilanka team during that World Cup,asked him to produce evidence for an anti-corruption probe.

The Former Minister said that according to him,no players were involved in fixing the results but certain parties were.At last he said to the reporters that he only wants his suspicion to be investigated.

IIT-Gandhinagar team develops AI-based tool to detect COVID-19 using chest X-rays

Researchers at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Gandhinagar have developed an Artificial Intelligence-based(AI) deep learning tool for detection of COVID-19 from chest X-ray images. The online tool, which indicates the probability if a person is infected with COVID-19, can be used for quick preliminary diagnosis before the medical test. It is being tested by the Indian Institute of Public Health (IIPH) . The IIT researchers pooled the data of X-ray images of COVID-19 infected patients as well as healthy persons from different sources available on the internet.They trained a machine learning architecture using deep learning algorithms with these images. Krishna Prasad Miyapuram, the associate professor of cognitive science and computer science, who supervised the IIT project claimed that the tool outperforms other such high-tech devices available globally.
